Does weight lifting stunt your growth?

Im turning 16 in September and I started going to gym 5 months ago. Im 180cm high and im really worried that weight lifting can stunt my growth. I really try to avoid weight lifting exercises while im standing, cause i really dont wont to stay 180cm. So can you tell me is it ok for me to lift weights also while im standing, and generaly should i lift weights because of my age?
