does verizon allow warrantys on the bb curve 2?

im asking because my bb curve 8330 broke and i put in for the insurance on that but they dont have any of the pink ones in stock (and that was the one that i had) so they offered me an upgrade to the bb curve 2 but i read somewhere that dust gets in between the buttons easy and that because of that verizon does not allow people to get warrantys on the bb curve 2
