Does transpassing laws apply to peace officers?

u mean trespassing, and no they can do what ever they want in your yard, your house is a different story, there they need either consent or a warrant unless they are really mad then they will come in anyway
 
Do you mean trespassing? Where are you located? It depends. Usually, they can enter if they announce themselves, but any evidence they seize without a warrant isn't admissable in a US court.
 
Not in pursuit of a suspected felon. But otherwise there certainly must be some kinds of restraints. But it wouldn't simply apply to opening a gate unless you can prove some kind of intrusion, damage, letting a dog out, etc. Try to solve it unobtrusively as some of them are real 'dicks', referring of course to dicktectives. a backyard.idk i think it would depend on the reasons for them going back there. if the were chasing someone they have every right to go back there i would think.
