Does Toyota plan on putting better quality padding and plastics inside their vehicles?

While browsing several models of Toyota, (Camry, Corolla, Venza, Sienna, and others) I notices a dramatic drop in interior quality as compared to the nineties Toyota models. I don't see this same cheapness of interior in other cars except for the funny shaped Toyotas and Hondas. Can it be that American car companies are now respecting their customers by creating a decent interior instead of the classic cheap Toyota look, which consists primarily of paper thin plastic spray painted with cheap silver paint to make it look like metal? After browsing all the Toyotas I felt insulted. How stupid do they think I am?
