does tmobile have a wireless card plan?

Not too sure about that. i have neevr seen one personally from them. But I would imagine that they do, most carriers do Anyway

I would imagine that they don't. Think about it -- no 3G. I've been personally using tmobile for cell and sprint for my evdo card for 2 years now. They have the fastest evdo speeds (worse coverage than verizon, but the "real" speed is twice as fast as verizon's). You can get about a meg and a half in cities (major -- boston, ny, chicago, san fran) and the upload is about 850-1000 (1mb) roughly. Since I move a lot I've been using this for my home internet and it works great for everything including streaming video.

they do, they have a sony ericsson wiresell pc card.

i think it's like $40 a month....

but like ventz said, not on 3G yet, so pretty pointless.

you'd probably get close to the same performance from tethering your blackberry, even if it was slower, it would be worth the money saved.

Their Wireless PC Card plan is $39.99 including unlimited HotSpot access. If you don't need a dedicated card then running it through your BB tethered is included in your BB data plan and will save you that money.

as long as you have a data plan, there is no extra cost for tethering.

yes, it will work with your 8100.

good luck!!

Yeah t mobile has an unlimited edge plan. It runs 49.99 a month and the card I'd between 150 and 200. It is not 3g yet so it still runs a bit slow. I know thy just launched 3G in New York so it is coming soon. I just normally teather my curve to my computer to get internet when I am out and about. If you need info on how to do so just let me know. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

I've had a T-Mobile Sony-Ericsson card, and was overall pleased with it -- there
were a few occasional glitches with the Wireless Manager software, but they may
have been the OS's fault. Caution: it died when I tried to use it on a desktop
in a PCMCIA slot provided by an add-on card; it turns out the SonyEricsson requires
a nonstandard 3Volts on one of the pins and the slot misread it an gave it 5Volts

Ever since I got a Blackberry, though, I have been using it as a tethered modem and
thus have no need for an extra card. (Not to mention that PCMCIA slots have started disappearing from laptops!)

Speed is about the same -- if anything, the BB-as-modem is faster. I would suggest that you try it!
