Does this sound like hot flashes?

Lately I've been feeling like I'm burning up inside. Like I have a fever but I don't. I asked my Dr about it and she said it could be hot flashes. I'm 62 and had a complete historectomy about 25 yrs ago.
I thought hot flashes were mostly like in the face. This feels like my whole body is on fire - inside - like a fever. But I don't have a fever. My husband said he can feel the heat radiating off of my body.
Does this sound like hot flashes or something a little more serious? Should I talk to my Dr again about it? I have another appointment in two weeks.
Thanks

Also, I get a little nausea and feel like I have the flu - but I don't.

My hot flashes were mostly only from the chest up, and they lasted no more than about 3 minutes, several times an hour at their worst. It sounds as if you're describing an ongoing kind of heat ... right?

I can't see any reason why you'd be having hot flashes now, after so long without your ovaries. Don't allow this to just get shrugged off, especially if it isn't so much "flashes" as it is constant.

I've been getting hot flushes (that's what we call them in Australia) for 5 years. Yours don't really sound like what I experience. They sort of start in the chest and go up into the scalp. My glasses fog up and I perspire profusely. I also have graves disease ( hyper thyroid) which is in remission. One of the many symptoms I experienced was similar to a hot flush but was almost constant, my skin was always clammy and I also thought I had a fever but didn't. It might be worth having your thyroid levels checked. Hope you have an answer soon.

Thank you for the replys. I have a Dr appointment coming up. I'll ask her to check my thyroid. My sister has Fibromyalgia and she has the same kind of feeling. That may be a possiblity too. But, I will talk to the Dr. Thanks again.
