Does this sonnet fit guide lines?

This is NOT my best work, I just needed to write this for extra credit.
I'm NOT asking if it's a good sonnet, I'm asking if it is "technically" a sonnet.

Thanks!

I will always give to your spirit praise.
In the Grace of you is what I endeavor
to follow and succeed in all my days.
You are my one and only God, forever.

My world is lead by your great salvation.
You are the shining beam of light within.
Your name, most holy, the exclamation
that guides me to live through virtues, not sin.

But who would want light to turn to darkness?
To pick, over a Heav’n, a burning hell?
From pristine and clean to a dirty mess?
Change to a story not worthy to tell?

The Lord is great, this can be said, for he
can forgive, for you to live in glory.
