I went to a camp almost identical to the one your describing. It was called PEAK camp and it was held at Lake Placid, NY. It was by far the most valuable camp I ever went to. The running did help in the short term, but the long terms effects now I'm seeing in college as a Exercise Science major. Most of the topics discussed in the seminars helped me not only with my major later but also in making me a more efficient runner. Some people I knew who went to the seminars slacked off and just wanted to run. I'd say go to the camp, you really will enjoy it and learn a lot about proper fitness. i loved my camp experience so much i went back again the next year, and just asked to speak at that same camp this year as i looked for internships for my last year in college.
