If you really want to get online right now, but don't have wireless and can't find the LAN adapter, try to find a Nintendo USB WiFi adapter. You stick it into your USB port and it becomes a WAP for the Wii and DS.

Also, there have been confirmations that certain 3rd party USB to Ethernet adapters work with the Wii. So if you want to be wired, but can't find a LAN adapter, try to pick up one of those...

The biggest downside to every wireless keyboard I've used is they seem to have a maximum of 3-4 inputs at a time.
