Does the voice acting in Simpsons sound different recently?

This is how I've felt about the past few seasons, Marge especially. Kavner has been hamming all her lines so badly, and I guess she thinks it sounds funny, but it actually sounds annoying.

Not to mention Homer takes every chance he can lately to speak in his raspy voice. None of them act anymore.

I love Julie Kavner as Marge and think she does a consistently good job... In ''The Movie'' she blew me away.

However... if after 20 years the writers and showrunner aren't prepared to bring their A-game, then why should she.

Give her, any of the cast something decent to work with again and they will at least try to give good performances.

I've also noticed that the voice actors themselves seem to have lost the passion they had for these characters. They now feel like they're just "going through the routine" rather than giving a great performance like in the first 10 years of the show.

But as said, I can't blame them. Nobody thought Simpsons would honestly go on for 20+ years, and its easy to get burnt out after voicing the same characters for so long.

They CLEARLY are spoken with less felling and faster. They don't sound as natural as they used to and the lines are delivered at break neck speed. Much like what happened on Spongebob. For some reason everything got sped up to a annoying pace.

You know how people always say the characters sounded weird the first two seasons? Well, if this keeps up, the characters in the next few seasons will sound more unlike themselves than the first two seasons.
