Does the supreme court even deserve our respect anymore?

After the 2000 coup, they were exposed as right-wing crooks with no respect for the law. I like our new president, but he can't fix everything, and I think he should Harriet Myers Sotomyer. We need a few left-wing versions of Scalia and his puppy, uncle Thomas to balance the farce. She was nominated by papa bush anyway, so I don't have any problem casting her by the wayside. Give me Scalia's polar opposite--regardless of race or gender!
 
Not when they give constitutional protections to suspected terrorists.
So instead of justices that will uphold the constitution, you want justices that will re-interperet it to fit their agenda, even if it goes against the very principles this country was founded on? You want activist judges who will amend the constitution from the bench and bypass the ratification process in the constitution?
 
I'll answer that if you'll answer these:

- How many justices per Citizen were seated when this court was created?

- What number of justices is specified (if any) by the United States Constitution?
-- -- and in which article?

Exactly what language does the Constitutiton employ to ensure that the Supreme Court may declare any part of the very Constitution (that empowers them) "unConstitutional"?
