Does the salvation army take hangers?

I have a bunch of hangers from stores like kohl's where they let you keep them (actually i couldnt find any anywhere and the checkout lady gave me whole bagful) now i dont need them because i have plenty. i dont' want to just throw them away. so does salvation army take them?
