does the restaurant on a first date have to be fancy!?

I'm 18 and I am going out on a date with a girl I really like and she likes me a lot too. I plan to take her out skating and then to go get some dinner. She's the old-fashioned kindof girl when it comes to dating so should the restaurant I take her too be fancy? I'm on a certain budget at the moment and I don't think I could afford a good restaurant for both of us, although that's what I want to do with her often many times in the future. Does it matter to a girl where a guy takes you to eat at on your first date really?

Haha, Ummmm say that ur low on the cash and take he rout to O'Charleys or somthing. I wouldn't care. Haha Mcdonalds would be fine with me lol. Im not Fat! im actually really skinny!(: llol

I would like it if a guy did that for me, but i wouldn't be mad if he didn't. Personally i think that guys should only do those kinds of things when its really serious... not that a first date isn't serious but you know what i mean?

I would say go with a Chili's it is not so cheap and quick that you come off as cheap or rude but its not too fancy and expensive where it will leave you broke and sometimes going too fancy makes a girl think you are a little too serious already.

.No, it doesn't have to be fancy...something above fast food, but otherwise stick to your budget. There's no reason for dating to break the bank.

Well, my first date dinner was from Chickfila and we're still happily together 13 months later. I don't think the restaurant has to be fancy, top-notch, or anything like that. If she really and truly likes you, she could careless where you take her--as long as you put the time and effort into pursuing her. If you are going skating, then a fancy restaurant afterward would cause a conflict. Almost guarantee you she's not going to dress up a whole lot to go skating, so she would feel out of place. I wouldn't suggest fast food, but just a restaurant in general (Chili's, Buffalos, O'Charley's, etc). You'd be surprised how many restaurants have special offers for couples. Just check into it and if you look in the newspaper, a lot of times there are coupons (buy one entree get one free, 1/2 off, etc). I wouldn't suggest this as a first date maneuver, but in the future they come in handy. Hope I helped some. Good luck! :D

I think it should be a sit down without TVs in this situation, but it doesn't have to be 5 star or anything.
