Actually, neither one. In a few cases, you might be able to pick up an ROTC scholarship that will pay PART of your undergraduate costs, as long as you agree to serve a set number of years after graduation (usually two years for every year you draw benefits). It is also possible (though rare), after you have been on active duty for awhile, you might be able to get the military to pay school costs (and continue to pay your salary and living expenses) for you to go back and get an advanced degree. But if you wait to go into the military until after you graduate, there are no programs to reimburse you for what you paid in college costs.
