Does the media seem to fan the flames of anger for conservatives?

many cons think that the media is liberal, but I think that the media (in large part) is conservative.

For example #1:
For years, US oil companies have been approved for drilling and exploring in so many areas all over the country that it would take years for them to get to all of them. But the media does not make this obvious. You'd have to go looking for this information. Thus, conservatives end up stating questions like "why go to the Middle East for oil when we have oil right here"?

Example #2:
Conservatives want lower taxes.

The US spends a much higher percentage of it's Federal budget on defense then any other country in the world (16%).

However, there are widespread misperceptions about the extent of welfare. The actual cost of welfare programs are about 1 percent of the federal budget and 2 percent of state budgets.

Thus, most of our tax dollars go to the military, not dead beat losers. In fact, most welfare dollars go to children. But again, one would have to go looking for this kind of information. Most American television shows (Cops, Jerry Springer, the local news) would have one believe that welfare recipients are everywhere and spend your tax dollars on drugs.

I have too many examples to mention here.

Does the media seem to fan the flames of anger among conservatives?
Charli: Actually interest accounts for 8% of the US Federal Budget, not 100%.

The flaks and hacks of the neo-Nazi reactionary ultra-right--they haven't been "conservative" in the real, generally accepted sense for at least 30 years!--are in the anger business. You're correct about the media generally being cautious and conservative, but that has nothing to do with what these loons like promoted.

They're really looking for reasons to hate people, especially minorities, and for ways to steal back power via scam and propaganda, which is all the have. They have failed for over a century, pulled their "trickle down" lies on generation after generation, and now that they have hardened their grasp on insanity, it has cost them, and cost them DEAR.

So they think, by being nastier, lying MORE (see Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, and the rest of the cast of lying ghouls) they can regain the keys to corruption.

Limbaugh, the junkie, leads this movement, but they're basically like crazed, demented Dobermans on methamphetamine, and they really don't care what they say, as long as it cheers them up, buoys their spirits, and offends anyone to the left of Attila the Hun. To them, that's "reason" and they think it leads back to power.

They're wrong, but they don't learn quickly, if at all.

Goldwater, William F. Buckley, the Tafts, and the Lodges would be so ashamed of this crew of vicious propagandists and their slobber mouthed followers! I know many conservatives, and they confide, quietly, when the reactionary filth are not around, that they do not have a party at all. Too bad!

Abbreviated summary answer: EVERYTHING fans their flames, they need anger to spur them on.
