Does the Kaplan booklet for apush or other booklet helps on apush unit test?

So last week i bought this KAPLAN AP U.S. History "proven tool to help you score higher!" 2011 version... I bought it cause i think it might help me on my unit test and i don't read the text book cause its so long... So can someone at least tell me if this is a good thing to help me for the UNIT TEST... NOT for the exam
