Absolutely. The IRA can be commonly refferred to as the Irish Revolutionary Arny now, they have less of a Republican view these days, and arent so much a terroist organization as most think. They are just rising against the repression they have experienced over the years. I was in class my 8th grade year and I got called to the office. Ron Bowers of the DHS(department of homeland security) was there and my brother and I were locked in seperate rooms. They showed us a list of names and asked us if we kept in contact with these people. I had never heard of most of these people but there were a few that I recognized as my family members in Ireland. Apparently they were the founding members of a new cell resonsible for the bombing of some government officials. I denied ever having contact with these people naturally. But its crazy how that stuff still exists in the world. If you are of Irish descent I would bet you have family in this Revolutionary Army as well, the asnwer to your question is yes, most definately. But they arent as bad as the tabloids make them out to be. Can you imagine what the British news articles looked like when we decided to fight for our freedom in the American Revolution? I imagine it looks pretty much the same as the negative coverage on the IRA.
