Depends.

Some guilty people get off (e.g., Michael Jackson). Some innocent people are convicted (former Border patrol agents Ramos & Compeon).

MOST of the time it works but even with its warts it's the best in the world.

Not sure on the question. But the court system is WAY WAY mest up. Many people get charged for crimes they did not do including me. All it takes is a few falce police reports to get some one charged and convicted of a crime when there inosent literally. The way it works my lawyer tole me is the DA chooses the easiest case to pursue and they charge them.

another thing I dont like is how they can just decide what you should be sentanced to. 3 people can do a crime together and 2 might get probation while the other gets jail time. Its no fair.

Also cops and investagaters lie some times. On a report a investagater made up a HUGE lie saying they found the safe when he really did not its still in the same spot its been.

Another thing that helps prove the system or law is mest up is if 2 17 year olds get in a fight the 17 year old who wins gets felony battery to a child since 17 is still a child but 17 is also considered a adult in criminal court. Screwed up.

Does it work? Yes. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Is it justice? Probably not. You have as much hope of justice in America if the judge were to just flip a coin.
