Does the "counter-culture" still have an independent, self-sustaining existence or

has it been thoroughly.....? co-opted by purely financial interests? Can a counter-culture survive as expressed, in part-not solely, as a financial enterprise yet remain above purely capitalist interests? Where is the line between statement and financial excercise?
