...Buy w/out the warranty)? Hey guys,

I bought my iTouch (2nd Gen) this past September from Best Buy without the warranty (from past experiences with the store, I came to the conclusion it was always best to just buy a new one rather than get the warranty).

My problem arose yesterday when my iTouch fell onto the ground; at first it seemed fine and fully functioning, but now I have noticed that the top button is not working at all.

I'm just curious, does Apple's one year warranty cover the iTouch? I know it does for iPods... but if it does cover that, does it matter if I bought it from the Apple store or not? What should I do? The damages aren't that big (like I said, the top button's just stopped working) but in cases where I have to reset the thing, I can't if the buttons not working... Please help!

The warranty does cover it even tho it was purchased in Best Buy HOWEVER because you dropped it that counts as accidental damage which is not covered by the warranty

since it's just a little button the Mac Geniuses at the Apple store might fix it if you ask nicely
