Yes suboxone can be addictive. For me it helped me transition from a life of drugs, to a life without street drugs. It has helped me stay away from illegal drugs, and get my life back in order. I do not get high from it. Suboxone is a partial opiod agonist and is a derivative of opium. This info comes staight from my sub dr. If you do not taper correctly you can go through horrible physical and mental withdrawals. I have also withdrawn from sub, due to not tapering correctly. I am back on it and getting my life back together, and when I am ready I will taper off completely. I believe it is not as "strong or bad" as methadone tho. I hope this helps. good luck.
