I once had a female friend that wanted me to lay on the bed (on our stomachs) to watch a movie with her on her laptop. And then she started stroking my hair and back like crazy, for like 30 minutes, and calling me sweetie and things like that. At another time, her and I were out with my boyfriend and at the end of the night, she started holding my hand. My boyfriend thought she had the hots for me and might be bi/lesbian. But another part of me thought she was just doing that to maybe try to get my boyfriend. (And not sure if this makes any difference or not, but she's Chinese. So could it maybe just be a cultural thing? or what?)

Its hard to say, I know some Chinese, straight from China, people who are really touchy but then there are the CBC (Chinese born Canadian) who are less likely to be like that.

That I think is Chinese culture. =] It depends on when her family immigrated to America.

If she was raised ethnically CHinese, then thats just what they do. I have a Chinese friend who just likes to hold hands. =]
