does rice help get moisture out of cell phones????? HELP!?

i droppped my cell in the pool..and herd of some way you can get the moisture out by using rice? i know thts true but what kind of rice should you use? does it matter!!!??? helpppp! i need to know this right away!!!!

Yes put the battery it the rice right away leave in there fo 72 hours.

i use white rice but i dont think it matters... rice is rice and it all sucks out moisture.. JHURRY oh and dont forget to take the battery out

YES it works!!

NEVER turn your phone ON when its wet!! It will fry the circuit board.

Take the phone, remove the battery and stick it down in a container of PLAIN rice. Leave it there for about a day and then remove it, put the battery back and turn it on. It should be working back to normal again.

Um... not for phones. Rice will get moisture out but not full-fledged WATER. Take the battery out and place the phone in a clean room (to prevent mold/mildew growth when drying). It should take a day or so.

well, the concept would work via putting your phone into a bag of rice and letting it sit awhile. make sure the bag is sealed....
