Does political correctness stifle debate?

Yes, that is it's function and purpose. Nearly every Liberal argument can be boiled down to: "Shut Up" If you oppose Obama, you're a racist, so shut up. If you oppose Obamacare you want people to die, so shut up. And on, and on, and on.

No, it stifles intelligence.

There is nothing "correct" about Political Correctness.

Being a Liberal DEMANDS that we pretend to be stupid. It DEMANDS that we PRETEND that white grandma is JUST AS POSSIBLE of hijacking a plane as a Middle Eastern man.

It DEMANDS that we PRETEND a black teenager in "da hood" driving a $60,000 BMW is NOT a drug dealer.

It DEMANDS that we PRETEND there isn't a liberal bias in our media.

Anyone espousing PC is a clown....

I'm a liberal and I say 'yes it does'. I don't push PC. Say what you feel and keep it real...that's the only way for progress, change, and real dialogue. It may be offensive, but if it's your real feeling, at least that's a legitimate place to start.
