Does Packard Bell deserve it's reputation?

I know that in the past Packard Bell was pretty terrible. But after being taken by Acer would you say their quality has been improved? I just bought this laptop http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/138073 and while it has yet to arrive, it looks pretty good to me. Ideas?
 
Packard bell have always been excellent and reliable. That why they use HP at NASA. Dell are a load of Cr**. I have 22 HP in my offices and they are due to be replaced after 9 years with out any problems. New HP on the way.
