i have a 32inch lcd tv, the power chord is 3 prong. the outlets in my house are all the older two prong, right now i have long extension chord running to the outlet in my kitchen which is 3 prong. I know they sell those grey adapters that will convert the three prong into 2, but it wont be grounded. IT has that little green piece to allow me to screw it into the plate, but i dont think the box itself is grounded so that wont do anything..... my quesiton is, is it dangerous? how real is the risk of causing some kind of fire if i use the grey converter piece? how real is the risk of my tv blowing out, etc?
