*********** “You’re playing a stupid game.” I say kicking at the blank ground that identically resembled the walls around me. I look directly at the camera hanging in the far corner, picturing him watching me outside the door. I wave at the surveillance camera sure he’s watching me on the screen. My stomach growls from lack of food for the last thirty-two hours.
*********** A buzz explodes from an intercom by the white pad locked door, “I love how I can always find you.”
*********** “Only because I let you find me.” I say staring directly at the surveillance camera. I hear him laugh.
*********** “Sure it is, than tell me, why do you run away?”
*********** That’s the easy part, “’Cause I live for the anticipation.” Again I heard his laugh and I respond with the roll my eyes in annoyance. We both know it’s a lie. I hate this place with the darkest deepest passion.
*********** Letting out a deep breath he exhales my name with a low sigh, “Effy, tell me how much longer is this going to be going on for?”
*********** “It depends, Dylan how long will you chase me?”
*********** The intercom clicks off and I’m sitting alone in the silent blank room again. Left with no response frustrates me. In rage I press my fists to the sides of my head and let out a long scream. I wouldn’t say I’m mentally unstable but without food or water and death trailing behind me, I can’t help but be more than sensitive. Not for much longer though, of experience I know they’ll collect me and take me to the main quarters soon. There they’ll question me most likely, but first I’ll eat, a lot. It has been two days and six hours since I’ve eaten, two days ago I was on the run every second, and now for this pass day I’ve been locked up in here. They know by now I won’t talk unless I’m full. So they won’t bother.
