DOES MY BIKE HAVE A FLAT TIRE?

I have a mountain bike and I may have just put too much air in my front tire. I filled it up then went for a ride. About a half hour after I was done I was sitting in my apartment and heard the air shooting out of the tire. I ran over and the air was coming out of the valve. It completely deflated. I didn't notice it leaking from anywhere else. I'm wondering if the tire popped or just somehow deflated itself. I don't have anywhere near me to find out.
 
Bicycle tires are supposed to be round. If you're tire isn't round, then odds are you have a flat. You can test this hypothesis by putting more air in the bicycle tire, if it leaks out again then you have a bad tube. Either a puncture that can be patched or a torn value that can't be, go here to get directions on how to fix it.
