I watch a lot of news cnbc bbc ..... when ever warren buffet talks about the economy people listen. would be possible that he would buy a type of stock eg: exxonmob then have an interview on tv and say i am confident the company will make a lot of money this winter. Then when the demand for the stock rises with the value of the stock without the company actually doing better. then just before the bubble bursts mr buffet sells all of his stocks making lots of money by buying low and selling high.

No I don't think he misleads anyone but he has been known to state the positives about companies his company owns. He doesn't do short term trading. He buys companies for long term holdings and a few positive comments he makes does not cause a bubble. Investors know he owns them and are not influenced by his making a few good points about the stocks. I can understand your suspicion and it is well founded regarding Wall Street and self serving comments. Warren is a good businessman and likes to make money but doesn't stoop to "pump and dump". Now Cramer, on the other hand........

He is watched closer than any other investor so "pump and dump" would make him a dream target for the SEC. He is getting older so it could happen.

Check his 13f for yourself.
