does Mercury really rule Virgo?

as have had several times read that Chiron actually rules Virgo.

how this could be true or not?

please explain what you can... how do the traits of mercury fit with virgo?

IMHO, Mercury is an uneasy connection to Virgo, but Virgos are very detail & rule oriented... personally I think eventually Chiron will be accepted as the ruler of Virgo eventually... since Chiron is about healing...
