For example, does the nature of Mandarin Chinese and the Chinese writing system shape the Culture of China?

Does the grammatical structure of German shape German culture to the same degree that the grammatical structure of Russian would shape Russian culture?
 
yes it does. there is a ton of literature on this if you are really interested just google it
