Does it seem like Japan is getting back at america for horrible dubs & anime remakes

Unless you count the two-episode OVA that came out way back in 1996, there is no Ninja Turtles anime.



...No, PPGZ was created because the original PPG DID do well in Japan. Thus, they decided it'd be a good idea to revive the franchise.

Also, I don't know where anyone got the idea that PPGZ was made to appeal to adult males. Seriously, there is fanservice, but it shouldn't outright be taken as directly being "appealing to grown-up men".
 
OF COURSE nobody bats an eye when Japan makes a PPGZ remake! And changes almost 78% of it and change the PPGZ Japanese! But, the minute America makes DBE people are signing petitions saying the shows been "whitewashed" and stupid even now people are raising hell of the new Avatar the last airbender movie having the characters be white(They made it themselves to avoid this!) eventhough the show was made in America! They took Blossom Bubble and Buttercup made them Japanese gave them hentaish qualities gave them mini skirts and made them typical and Sailor Moon rejects! I gotta be kidding me! It's obvious most people say it's for the better cause it got turned in to a anime. What if america made a Dragon Ball Z Cartoon huh? Or a Sailor Moon Cartoon?
 
Here's the difference for me.

I liked PPGZ. On it's own as a magical girl show and clearly different from the original, it wasn't half bad. I hated DBE. On it's own as [strike]Justin Chatwin's flying Circus[/strike] an action movie and....completely different from the original, it stunk. Also, it was just a bad movie.

That's all there is to it.
 
The English anime fandom really only sees only side of the story, we only see how adaptations to the Japanese series are done. But we rarely see how adaptations to English series happen in Japan. Japan's Transformers universe has had some pretty horrible dubs that have removed complete episodes, changed genders, rewritten complete plots, changing overall mood to a series, and more. I kind of suspect that may be common place in Japanese dubs.
 
Well, aren't all but like...four Transformers series Japanese? (I guess five if you count that new CGI series, but it hasn't aired yet) And from what I've seen, the only series that had a substantial change was the ending of the first series.
 
I used to think that Sonic X was the answer to the 3 sonic cartoons that America produced, because from what my frienRAB tell me that Sega wasnt approved by the 3 sonic cartoons.
 
The first Transformers series had a Japanese dub that dropped the fourth season, and replaced itself with new episodes and various continuation series.

Beast Wars had gender changes, and a rewritten script to make the series more comedic, and less dark. The series had extended continuity with Beast Wars II, Beast Wars II: The Movie, and Beast Wars Neo. Both of which were more comedic than the original show. The gender change of Airrazor from a woman into a man creates some awkward moments in later portions of the show, where her, and her lover, Tigatron fuse. The Japanese dub says they're brothers.

Animated is having heavy story/character re-writes to link the show to the Michael Bay movies. Characters have been renamed to characters that are also in the show (Bulkhead was renamed Ironhide, despite the fact there already is an Ironhide in the show...), and they will be airing episodes out of order, which will be creating continuity errors. We don't know if they're doing anything to the mood of the show, as we've yet to see an episode air.
 
I almost literally facepalmed when I seen the title for this. If Japan was actually intent on doing something like that for dub mistakes, it would make them look pretty immature... which of course wouldn't look good in ANY job market like that. Like what others have stated, these guys make way too much money to be caring about something like that. In my personal opinion actually, even if they didn't make the money they do now, being that way would definately be pretty immature.
