Does it seem like civilization has devolved over the last decade?

Not significantly only slightly, but still disappointing considering the new millenium was supposed to be all futuristicy and awsome, not all Michael Jacksony like the last 2 decades...you know what i mean? DE evolution?

Well... Yes. As population grows and all our natural resources dwindle people are going to start fighting for them. And when the oil starts to run out we will have a major devestating world war. Winner take all. The USA is not the ony one with a nuclear warhead like in the 1940's. Take Africa. They are killing all the animals for bush meat and cutting every tree for charcoal to cook it with. The whoe continent is going to be a nightmare zone within 50 years. The USA wil probably end up trying to buy china and get squashed.

I think things have gotten better.

I finished college by distance while gallivanting all over Asia -- mostly in Korea and Taiwan. It was quite an experience. It was made possible by broadband Internet and online classrooms, two things that were virtually nowhere to be seen in the 90s.

If I had been born ten years earlier, I probably would've been forced to stay in America until I finished college. Boring!
