...the "word"? I realize that, at the time(s) the bible was written, there was no educational or school system as we know it today - but - isn't there anything in the bible that would promote educating oneself or seeking an education in something other than the "word"?
I'm talking about learning to read, write and the other basics.
***I'm not talking about learning a trade - carpenters, farmers and herdsmen etc.- receive more education through experience than school.
No offense intended towards tradesmen - if it weren't for you men and women - half the world would be starving and homeless - unable to fend for themselves. So - thanks for taking care of the world. ;D
