Does it matter how I clean the outside of a tinted car window?

I just got my windows tinted. I know you're not supposed to use ammonia based cleaners to clean the inside of a tinted car window (since windows are tinted from the inside of the car), but does it matter how I clean the outside? Does it matter if I use an ammonia based cleaner like Windex on the outside of the window? Thanks.
