Does it make sense for me to by a car right now?

I'm a freshman in college. I need to get a job, but there are no jobs available on campus so I would have to go off campus to find one. The public transportation system in my city is poor and it would be too far for me to ride my bike. Also, I recently found out that I have to go to a psychiatrist's office once per week for the next several months. His office is halfway across town. I have two thousand dollars saved for a down payment and another thousand to cover monthly payments until I find a job (which I should find long before the thousand runs out.) The car I am looking at is a Toyota Yaris; it's MSRP is 15,385 and with the financing I have chosen would run at about $250 per month. If I were to work 20 hours a week I would earn about $600 per month. With all you know about my financial information, would it make sense for me to buy this car?
