There have been times I've not wanted certain people to know my whereabouts and yet others' news feeds made this public knowledge.
You don't have any control over someone tagging you in their news feed. If they're friends with you, they can tag your name and say where you are. Pretty much all you can do is ask them to remove it. I realize Facebook opens you up to privacy issues, but it's also not that difficult to stop and consider that maybe someone doesn't want everybody to know where they are. If they tag you, it also shows up on your own news feed and people can read it.
