Does is make sense for a closeted LGBT person who lives in a homophobic

self defense. self protection. its in the human handbook. you arent letting yourself or anyone else down by keeping your sexual orientation a secret. just dont always stay in the closet. come out to those you can trust. otherwise its self destructive

Well when I was in high school I came out to everybody and told people that I was gay. I got harassed every single day that I walked in the door but I didn't care because I was being myself. If you do live in a very homophobic environment though it would be wise not to go flaunting your sexuality out in public though. One time I wore a rainbow t shirt out to the movies and people were throwing popcorn at me when I leff the movie theater because of it. Nobody had ever did that before it was only when I had a rainbow shirt on.
