Does he truly trust me or is this a test?

I heard this thing that scorpios don't trust anyone. Even if you do earn their trust, but it's not completely. But my experience is different. The scorpio I'm around talks to me about many personal things, gets mad at me when I don't talk to him or when he can't win a debate w/ me. He gave me keys to his apartment to stay when I'm in town on business. He even leaves his wallet on the counter, goes to bed, closes the door. I can easily look in his wallet... I don't because I wasn't given permission to, nor is it my business too. We've went out to dinner, he even cooked for me and one of his friends. I guess we're friends, I don't know. I know at times I'm being analyzed, perhaps there are some subliminal messages that I'm oblivious to, but sometimes I feel like I'm being tested. Am I being too paranoid?
