Does going green actually help the environment?

No. but stuff like not littering does help make the earth look better though. Best way to help the environment is to muzzle Al Gore because he emits a lot of Carbon Dioxide, well with the help of his private jet and SUV's, and huge electric bill. I bet you won't find him riding around in some cramped up hybrid.

well that depends on what you mean by "going green" do you mean like hybrid or electric cars? or recycling? or less energy usage lights? or banning the color black on cars since they absorb heat?

Sort of...
To actually help the environment you have to have a little bit of know-how. There are tons of companies right now that just slap the green tag onto any thing to sell it. I'd recommend reading Ecoholic by Adria Vasil to learn more about how to help the environment

in my opinion, going green is a load of horse sh_t. after all the earth was covered in ice for millions of years and no one provoked that. we can all do our part to help, but it wont do much.

watch the movie, Knowing. aliens are the only ones who can save us on 10/19/09

i would think so but the main thing is for people to get their lives cleaned up... the environment will pass away, not to say we should be slobs about it but the environment is going to not exist but humans will live forever somewhere... heaven or hell... we need to clean up our personal environment... its much more important and it is eternal...
