Does God want me to eat the Bible?

Okay, the Bible is the Word of God, right? And the Word IS God, and God is Jesus, and I'm supposed to symbolically eat his flesh. So does that mean I have to eat the Bible? Would God think I was being lazy if I just ate the Gideon Bible, or would he be okay with that?
