My parents are geniuses. I'm not, however, I work very hard and teach myself extra 'courses' outside of school in an attempt to broaden my knowledge base. No matter how hard I work I remain stupid (people think my grades make me smart, but I know the truth).
My mom tries to tell me that God gives people as much intelligence as they need, but I want to become a doctor and then take my vow of poverty so I don't see how it's a good thing that I'm not bright (I do pray over my career choice and feel it's the right one). I'm such a sinner, but do you really believe God think some people need to be more intelligent than others? Why would He though?
This sounds incredibly shallow, but I truly want to understand it from a religious perspective (because I get the science part of it).
