Does everyone's Wii get really hot, or is it just mine?

Well, depending on where you put it, there can be plenty of dust. I know in my finished basement, i left my copy of GTR2 out for maybe 1 week and it was covered with a nice coat of dust. Not to mention, the more you play, the more air sucked in, and the more dust sucked in. It could also be a defect. Perhaps the fan(s) aren't seated properly in the console, or there is a defect in the fan itself.

i did notice it gets hotter when placed horizontally, try put it in its stand

try to not leave a disc in the system and see if its still hot. use the stand and see if it gets better.

The only heat I can feel is coming from the receiver right below it

I really should set this up better so all my shit isn't stacked on top of each other

IIRC, the stand you put it in might not have the greatest airflow for the Wii

btw, how are the other systems in that same stand?
