Does every state in the US have a 21yr drinking age? And is it a Federal Law?

Is the age for legal alcohol consumption federaly mandated?

Or can states set their own.?

I'm an Aussie and whilst every state is 18, it is not a Federal decision. We could have some states make it 21.... or 16...and the Federal government could not stop it.

Is the US the same?
