does diabetis change your lifestyle?

Might need a bit of a change to his diet. Eating more complex carbohydrates such as brown bread, pasta and rice to enable eating of items containing sugar.
Check with your diabetic nurse / dietician.

What type of Diabetes? Is it Type 2 (obesity incuded diabetes) or is it Type 1 (genetic/inheritted diabetes). If it's type 2, all he'll have to do is lose weight or take some pills, but if it's type 1, he'll have to take the insulin injections, dramatically change his diet, and take all sorts of other medication to reduce the affects of diabetes on the body.

Absolutely. They try and tell you it won't, but trust me, it does. You have to watch what you eat and really keep an eye on your blood sugars, especially if you're type 1, like myself. --------------------------------

nope he will still be able to give you a good time and enjoy life to the full . I have it and I look afta myself.. make sure he does too

not really if you watch what you eat and do just how the dr. tell you you can live a long time my husban dad was 92 when he die he had type 2

My cousin was diagnoised when she was 10 (3 years ago) It has defenitly made her more healthy.
She eats healthy stuff but always once in a while we'll buy pizza. It also makes the people around eat heathier cause at thsi time with low economy, I don't think you'll buy stuff for you & your husband diffrently so you'll probably eat he's healthy food. Because whenever i go to her house i eat an incredible healthy lunch- Toaster ham and cheese with lettuce and tomamatoe on whole wheat bread, a side of sun chips or 100 calorie packs & juice or diet coke. & sometimes a fruit popsicle she'll subsitutue for the juice.

Now you'll probably have to share duties because with a low blood sugar he shouldn't be hangin frames ;) Lmao & at times it will scare you cause my cousin has lost consiouns and also has fainted in the bathroom. That'll happen when its low
When its high its a perfect way for you two to get a jog togther that'll lower the bloodsugar better than drinking all that water. '

The best of luck & god bless you :D

yeah ive had diabetes for a year now and it sucks but it can also change ur life be for when i didn't know i had it and when i was younger i would eat n e thing i wanted but now that i know i work out more and eat health so it just depends on how u look at it like i know people who have diabetes and they don't care and they just eat what ever but it just gets worse so tell him to eat healthy and he should be fine i went from taking 3 or 4 shots of insulin a day to just taking a pill for it two times a day.:)

Yes, it will. It will change where you go out to eat, what you eat, he will always be counting carbs and will always have to check his blood sugar every so often. It will change how much he eats, and it will change his exercise habits (if he isn't already exercising). But the bright side of it is this: All changes will improve his life and yours as well. He will have to take better care of himself now. So the changes are mostly for the good.

yes it will, he'll have to keep an eye on his eaing habits and exercises and he'll have to do blood tests every day.

but he'll still be the same person, still be able to do the same things, still be able to enjoy everything you do for him (: just maybe not the extra sugar on his rice kirspies or in his tea ;)

(:
