I've watched most of Dexter so far and it got me thinking, do you think he actually talks to himself out loud and is responding to hallucinations, or is Harry just visible as a tool to help him through his problem solving? I haven't seen season 5 yet btw so I'm not sure if there's answers to that already, or if it's just a subjective point of view.
My main point to the question is if he's talking to himself out loud it puts him at risk of being found out, or at the very least being evidently crazy to others.
