According to Jeff Gordon, he spinned his tires on two restarts yesterday late in the race, causing the traffic jam that resulted in others wrecking. Does Jr. have what it takes to be a top level race driver. or did his name get him to where he is today?

Dale Jr. belongs there as much as whiny Jeff Gordon. Every time something happens, Gordon blames someone else. What happened to Jeff was that he bumped Kenseth...and lost control of his car. If he didn't bump all the time he might be able to stay on the track. Dale Jr. paid his dues in the Busch/Nationwide series...he's a good driver..maybe not great..but a good driver

Read his stats of course he deserves to be there. AS for the wreck G rdon & Kenseth were already passed Jr when the wreck occured.

Did ya see the race? He drove is a** off. First of all he only spun his tires once, he didn't cause the accident if you watched Gordon spun out Kennesth, Junior hit no one. He came in second for crying out loud. He also led 17 laps (but I am sure it was his dad's name that put him out there) he moved up 13 places to be ranked 10th overall. But again, I am sure it's his father that is parting the cars and pushing Junior to the front.

He has 17 career wins and 2 Busch championships (as a Busch driver) back when it wasn't a Buschwacker winning it every year. He is a good driver and has earned the right to be in NASCAR. He is also the highest ranking HMS driver right now.

I don't think Jeff has any room to criticize after he slid up the track and wrecked himself and Kenseth taking out probably the only other guy who could run with Edwards.

Paul Menard is the poster boy for undeserving Cup driver. He sucked in Busch and then still ends up in Cup. He is almost always just a moving road block. Everybody knows he is there cause daddy bought him a ride.

GEEEEEEEZZZZZEEEEE!!!!

Give it a rest. If he his just "riding his name" then why is Kerry Earnhardt hardly ever heard of? He still runs the Nationwide series. He is just not good enough yet to run with the big boys.

If just being an Earnhardt should entitle you to a trophy, then why hasn't Kerry even run in Cup series, or won the Nationwide series championship.

Jr. won it racing against Kerry.

Show me the favoritism people. He won those championships fair and square.

Of course he deserves to drive.

Unless you can do better, which is obvious you can't, shut up about it already.

Of course he deserves to be there. Although he hasn't been to victory lane in a while, he's won 17 races in his career.

Spinning tires happens on lots of restarts.
