Does "clean coal" exist?

I'd prefer a legitimate scientific answer to this, not a political rant. I for one am a liberal who believes that global warming is a real issue, but I have no agenda here. If this technology does exist, I would support it.

So does it? Let's define it as "any way of burning coal that is carbon-neutral."
 
not at all. it's a desperate ploy for a weening industry to gain the trust of the american people. it would frankly be a waste of both money and time.
