How did Chris Consani get away with his paintings of Marilyn, James Dean, Humphrey bogart and Elvis Presley? Does he not get sued by the copyright owners of these stars? Whatever happened to the 'right of publicity' clause that protects the use of the image of stars? Can anyone tell me can i also make a painting that has stars in it like those of Chris paintings withut taking pernission?
