Does being an optimist, pessimist or realist affect one's views on the

nature vs nurture debate? I imagine that optimists have faith in nurturing, they believe that humans are smart and confident enough to change a person's DNA, upbringing and past. I imagine that pessimists are more likely to have faith in nature, as they believe that nature is inherently more powerful than anything else, so there's no point in trying. Realists seem to have a more balanced view, they take both nature and nurture into account, but at the end of they day they'd be likely to believe that nature trumps nurture if one had to decide.
